Footsteps Childcare Gets a New Mural
Coming back after the new year I had planned to do a mural for a Daycare company in Los Angeles called Footsteps Childcare. This daycare is run out of the owners home and they wanted to bring a bit of life to their outdoor space.
The main wall was 30ft long and about 10ft tall. We ended up adding an additional wall to the agreement as well. Being a daycare, the design idea was based around floral, plant and bug life. This was right up my alley! We went through a few drafts and ended with a gorgeous design.
I used a lot of different Benjamin Moore paint colors for this mural, along with a few cans of spray paint for specific visual effects.
The colors used were:
● Gypsy Rose- 1327
● 544 Kiwi
We included multiple bugs including a bee, ladybug, grasshopper caterpillar, cocoon, and butterfly. Along with a monstera leaf, some other plant designs and multiple decorative flowers including dandelions. The mural took me two days to complete at 10 hours total. Overall this is a bright colorful and cheerful mural that brought me joy while I was completing it. I got the chance to see what some of the kids thought of my mural and they were mesmerized!
