News - Tips - Idea and More

October 14, 2020 was no ordinary day at Santa Barbara Paint Depot. What began as our usual morning rush helping contractors, DIYers, and designers with their paint needs turned to excitement as we waited in eager anticipation for Benjamin Moore’s live Facebook feed to announce the Benjamin Moore Color of the Year 2021 and Color Trends 2021 Palette.

Ok, perhaps some of us were more excited than others, but after a year of advertising Benjamin Moore’s Color of the Year 2020, First Light 2102-70, we looked forward to knowing what the newest hue to light our doorway, hallway, bedroom, kitchen, and office would be!

In classy Benjamin Moore style, the live Facebook marketing of Benjamin Moore’s Color of the Year 2021 and Color Trends 2021 Palette began with a slideshow of previous Benjamin Moore Colors of the Year. Interspersed with these images were short quips by those guessing the new Color of the Year.

Many were hoping for a hues of yellow, green, blue or even plum, but the Benjamin Moore’s Color of the Year 2021 is Aegean Teal 2136-40. A mix of blue, green, and grey, Aegean Teal allows users to reflect and reset. Described as “intriguing, balanced, and deeply soothing,” Aegean Teal creates a perfect harmony.
